First things first for James as the ASALMS Southern Division season doesn’t begin until March 16-17, 2007 at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway in Bronson, Florida for the Gator 100 Presented by Pennzoil;
So James and the crew will head back home to the Lone Star State and to the San Antonio (TX) Speedway in San Antonio, Texas for the 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Season Opener, the 2nd annual Alamo 200 two weeks earlier on Friday and Saturday March 2-3, 2007.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to San Antonio especially after the good run we had in the South Race at the end of the year there.” Stated James as his crew continues to prepare for the 2007 season. “It’s always nice to go back to Texas and see my family and friends that I grew up with.” He added.

There’s going to be a lot of competition returning from last year and a lot of new racers with the same goal as us.” Explained the Troutman, North Carolina resident.
Despite missing the first two ASALMS Southern Division shows and one more show late in the season, the 23-year-old Lone Star State freshman picked up One Feature win and came on strong to finish a solid seventh overall in the final Points tallies in both the Overall and the Rookie of the Year standings.
James’ lone Feature win came at the Southern National (NC) Raceway Park on June 3, 2006 during the Kenly 100.
