a sad message from one of our dear racers, Kris Wilson...
John has had cancer for over a year but didn't tell most people. Yesterday was his last day here with us. Hospice Austin did an amazing job making the end as easy as possible for John and all of us. His sister was here, our kids and grand kids. The service will be at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E Anderson Lane, Austin on Tuesday, 1/22, at 2:00 p.m. followed by a procession to Bagdad Cemetary in Leander. We are asking that people don't send flowers but they may make a donation to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin, Tx 78759 if they wish. I had no idea that John was fighting a battle with cancer. Kris, sorry for your loss. John seemed like a very nice guy.

It's so hard to express in words how deeply sad it is to hear this about John. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please let us know if you need anything. john was a nice man. never really got to know him as well as i wish i had but i could tell two things , he loved racing and he loved kris.
